Ok Finegan...Home stretch to becoming an addict. *twitch twitch*

I think you've been very kind holding back for me bro! lol I know you could beat the pants off of me posting. But just to have a little fun and because i didn't wanna logout without my 900th post, here it is. Dead even and it's the home stretch. Pretty freaky in my mind, since I don't really know a darn thing outside of the fact that i've got Slack going the way I want it FINALLY! No touchy anything...Well, actually I won't be able to resist so oh well...

So i'll see you on the other side of a grand in about what, a week?

Solidarity,

Finegan

You know I remember seeing that we have the same birthday. Pretty neatorific. I know i'd have no problem stretching things that long. 2 posts a day, sure...I may even be able to think more about them and leave informational verbage instead of my "I think.." posts... Either way, I look at 900 posts and can't remember how in the heck I ever got half of those.. LOL

59 days? surely you jest sirs. you'll never be able to hold out that long. you'll have you 999th post in a matter of days, trying desparately to hold out... only to run across a thread in general, arguing about the semantics involved in auto-erotic-cetacean behavior.

you'll never make it .

close thread? me? never... acutally... i presume jeremy reopened this? i was gonna open it again i promise!

i was watching Amelie on divx today, turns out it was in russian, and there's a bit in it where there's a tv playing an american program, subtitled in french, which is in a french film, dubbed into russian, and subtitled in english.

how's that for seeing the world from your computer?

incidentally, i had to sort out the subtitles for the film completely. i found them in two halves, a single line looknig like
Code:
{35472}{35525}*-i'm a microdvd subtitle
and so i had to suss out a script to add an offset to both numbers (the start and end frames to show the line in) and then rebuild the line, for a 1000 line file, so that the subtitles starts at 50 minutes no 0, as they were intended for a two file version of the film... i was dead chuffed i managed it in 6 lines, and no temporary files. not that impressive really for anyone else tho i guess. but i was thinking, how on earth could you do something like that in windows???

No, of course not, my eyes must have been decieving me, as well as those re-directed mouse clicks from trying to hit "reply" over and over again, my mistake

Again, my apologies for cluttering your forum with that other thread.

However... I've been thinking of creating another login, ala Master Kewp and (bluecadet), but instead of guru-ing, just hitting 999 leaving it at that. Then of course... there would be that one thought provoking post about the semantics involved in auto-erotic-cetacean behavior... at the end of a thread entitled, I dunno, Music maybe, and then I would have to post.

Hey Taz, that links to mid-way through that old thread, page 7... I know where half of those 900 came from now.

Cheers,

Finegan

Well, now that we've cluttered acid's forum. Of course I replied to your post before this one. Go finger. I'd have to agree that a pointless thread egging me on to reply as to what came first, the chicken or the egg (egg), would set me over the 999 mark. I've thought of starting a new name, but I have so many logins over the internet now i can't remember any of them anymore.

Am I too mellow/quiet for a tazmanian devil? Maybe I should really start tearing through the forum leaving nothing but BAHHHRUUGHHPHHFFFFTGUHHHACKKK! posts everywhere?

Im with Isajera, you 2 dont stand a chance. This race of yours will be over in a matter of days. Dont know if it wil be over dolphin sex, but it will happen over some strange and possibly disturbing thread conversation.

Should we start a money pool over who will get 1000 first?

Sho you right...

Actually, it will probably be sooner, but not as fast as I thought, since I can't seem to muster up alot of energy to post these days. Spent all of today downloading the fargin' kde 2.2.2 packages. Anyone with DSL need a roomate?

A pool may go a little far though huh? LOL Thinking of Jeremy's thread asking about opinions on 35/year, i'd hate to think that posts make me anything more or less than I am, or have anyone feel like there's a "them & us"...

Them or us?

Nah, we may have gotten rather cliquey though, if that were a word, which it isn't, so I'll just stick to using the word: regulars, to describe you jokers.

KDE 2.2.2? The slack-current right?

Also, you've got the whole weekend to flash by me as I'm headed north for a digital-free weekend. Its actually going to mess with my plan of changing my server's front-page, /etc/motd+issue, ftp welcome message, ad nauseum, in preparation for April Fools. I was going to put up a page about our domain being taken over by M$ as part of their .NET strategy, but I think I'll be too hungover/tired/braindead/roadburned on Sunday to deal with it.

Luck Taz,

Finegan

Well have a great weekend then man! I'm not too sure about 'flashing' by you, but who knows. lol

Yeah, I used the slack-current packages. I've normally been compiling all of my updates but I didn't wanna fuss with so many files. It's not alot different though..hmm, now I just feel like i'm in mandrake. I'm not gonna go with 3.0 just yet.

Sounds like you had a killer plan all set out. That's a perfect joke. Maybe a digital free weekend will be a nice break. With all of the fun that can cause "hungover/tired/braindead/roadburned" symptoms, i'd be hard pressed to turn it down...Oh how I miss fun...

Have a few for me,

Anyway, great weekend, bad roadburn... although that trip was only 6 + 1/2 hours either way!

Taz, dude, man, you've only gotten ten on me? 943? what, slow weekend up in the city that never dries?

Cheers,

Finegan

LOL...Well, I just couldn't find it in myself to post anything this weekend. I spent some time with me familia. Sounds like your weekend was worth alot more than 10 measly posts. Although, baseball season starts today for the my Seattle Mariners (yeah I own em ). I have a good idea that my posts shall probably drop dramatically until say, October?!
