New Religion (no linux in this thread, sorry)

Hi there, just wanted to namedrop my new site. It's about a religion i recently started. Yes, it's a serious one (well, it doesn't take itself seriously, but it's not a silly one)

Anyway, you can read the blurb at http://polytheism.cjb.net but the main attraction at the moment (unil i get some articles, links and essays to put up) is the forums. Please go along and say your piece, and do pop back every now and again, to keep up with the philosophical debate! :D

pimping over now! seeya on the forums...

acid_kewpie 07-30-2002 02:30 PM

not against the rules per se, but if this heads toward a religious debate it'll be closed in a second.

thanks

Chijtska 07-30-2002 03:06 PM

yeah because a debate about religion wouldthe worst thing imaginable

yours truly,

bob the typical atheist yet refreshingly hip new age'r

This is not too new - ever been to Japan? They worship about anything there just to be on the safe side.

yeah religious debates suck cause they dont go nowhere.

i just believe that i cant truly know what the hell is going on (agnostic).

Did we really have to bring this one up, like I said, some topics have been brought up only to die or get closed rather quickly.

I still see no point in segregating "just linux" users to existing members on this site. If your posting on this site, your no longer a "just linux" user, your a part of linuxquestions.org.

We have many new members sign up daily that have never been on another forum or from other forums that don't separate themselves from the existing users. If you've registerd, your a linuxquestions.org crew member now.

Oh well..

I dont think he means it like that. He's just pointing out that the JL members...the ones that left JL are not starting this thread again(like carrja99 did). :)

I disagree with both concepts that LQN will shut down religious debate which is proven by the continued existence of The Faith and Religion Megathread in this section which has been reviewed and moderated in a singularly adult manner and also that such a thread is inherently non-productive. It may have lulls but overall is informative, educational, and sometimes even entertaining and even on many levels.

sundialsvcs 07-11-2016 07:28 AM

Why not do this in the existing MegaThread? It seems to have run out of steam, lately ...

jamison20000e 07-11-2016 11:40 AM

Why indeed

As much as I liked 2003, I don't think this thread deserved whatever time machine it stepped out of.
