New $200,000 note for Zim

I suppose it had to happen. This seems to be a world record : a $200,000 note.

Sound like a lot of money ? Well in Zim it can buy you 1kg of sugar. Like Loony Tunes, man.

I'd love to see the totals on some till slips after a shopping expedition. Mind you, they don't actually have goods to sell, so the totals will probably not be as high as expected.

The average salary must run into millions and I suspect that it would really be putting some accounting and payroll systems to the test, handling a currency that's so out of control.

Does anyone know whether or not this is a world record ?

Maybe for dollars a record; it's very sad. According to http://www.banknotes.com/it.htm, 500,000 lire was the largest denomination.
