you might want to consider the cooling costs that are saved when using intel because there processors dont run as hot as AMD's. As for the 20% lack of computing power where do you get that from? in my (admittedly limited)experience given anything thats hefty on the fpu P3s<1Ghz can seriously outperform Athlons>1GHz. i'd like to see some evidence of an AMD chip outperforming an equivelent intel chip on a big simulation.
