I used to have some lights in my computer before (some years ago), but in the end, its just annoying. A part from the fact that it is light in the room when you want it to be dark, some manufacturers have a hard time getting the lights to be stable. I don't know why, but several of my LED-products started to blink and become a serious pain in the ass. Anyway, I got tired (Or old? :P) and snipped the wires.

I've got a Logitech Illuminated keyboard, but that's useful rather than decorative.

Electrical tape around each group of wires that are the same color, and then heat shrink over them all.

That's what the switches are for, I don't keep the lights on all the time.

PRECISELY the first thought that entered my mind when I looked at the pic.

I agree: very colorful, but I prefer the 'sleeper' look, and would be more interested with the real guts of it, than the colors.

Nice work though, very nice!

The electrical tape went over the soldered wires of course. It proboably wouldn't hold if I didn't use the solder.
