This just goes to show you what MS thinks of their customers. Apparently, MS believes that the average MS user isn't smart enough to distinguish between the two.
Funny thing is, they're basically telling him he can't even use his own name in his companies name. I'd like to see this go to court just to see the outcome.
My last name is Bentley and it would be like the car manufacturer Bentley suing me for me making a domain and company with my actual name in it..
there was this website www.windowsxp.nu it was a site with all the themes for XP and stuff like that i was surfing on it one day and the next day was pointing at microsoft website, I mean how hard is it to understand the differnence, espacially cause Bill himself stole names like IE and Windows but had enough money to buy it, what are they gonna do next?

If they do get him to turn it over, it had better be for more than the $10 they are offering. Add up the time and money already put into the site and add alittle, say, $10,000

If Mike Rowe can have his name taken away because it sounds similar to some control freak software company then there is no hope for the world. I would understand their claim if either
A: His name was John Smith and he registered Mikerowesoft.com for money.
or
B: His site was a mirror of the actual MS websites and he intended to fool people and not just parody (protected speech) the software giant.
Other than that they should jump in a lake. It is his name after all and he does make software.
This is going to be more in a long line of bad press for Redmond.
