"Microsoft Word,Excel " in a file
 

Hi all
Can I use the words "Microsoft ,Word ,Excel.......
which are Microsoft trademarked in a file.

ie I want to write a file which distinguishes
the Linux & Windows Applications.

Like MS Excel = OpenOffice.org calc.......
.....Is this legal to use words MS Excel ,Powerpoint
in a file.

Yes, I think it is fair use; but then, I am not a lawyer, and it may depend on what country you are in.
