pot and linux similar?
Hmm.. used by a minority, misunderstood by the majority, beneficial to many, not handled well by others.. legality currently in question lol.. Mysterious, powerful.. FEARED.. users kinda "different".. lots of intelligent but "slacker" types. Alternative.
Thank you digiot, you stuck to your guns and you are absolutely right. Your comment about the Mormons was only that certain groups wig out about things or make them illegal in an almost arbitrary fashion.
My screen name is that big fat stoner dude on saturday night live that hangs out with Jared the webcast guy.. rolls me every time

I think there should be a third option to the poll. The poll assumes you smoke the stuff. There should be an option for us non-smokers. I just think you ought to let us play too!
I agree with Megaman X, there are quite afew youngsters on this board. I feel that the discussion of MJ is inappropriate here. I'm not saying that using is bad. It's your brain...I think you should have the choice to do whatever you want with it (as long as nobody is harmed in the process.) It's just not the right place for such topics. I don't think it's a religious issue or a moral issue....just a common sense issue.
I'll step down from my horse now.

heh. Carl Sagan was a pot smoker. As were and are many prominent people.
Ya'll want to understand Americans attitudes towards pot? Watch Reefer Madness. It's amusing.
As for the actual question. I do everything better when I'm sober. My drug of choice is coffee

I can't say about the pot, never did it, never will. However after a glass of red wine all I wanna do is sleep, so I'd say it has a negative effect on me working my linux box :-)
