Hi i prefer to handle questions ect on a mailing list do you offer this service or am i stuck with having to use unliked and unwanted web based traffic I dislike logging onto web sites to read mail when i have a very good mail client on my system

Then unfortunately LQ is not the place for you. There is an e-mail service but most of these questions will be posted onto the forum by the moderators.

Remember this is a community driven site, where people assist each other with a variety of problems - a personal e-mail service would thus go against the goal of LQ to create a community based interface for Linux problems.

If you want personalized e-mail support, then I suggest you look at a distro with commercial support (RHEL, Ubuntu Server) to get this.

All questions and answers are stored on this forum and are available to all without logging in (you have to log in to ask a question). You can, though, subscribe to forums via RSS, if you prefer not to log in.
