I immagine the USB Only for kb and mouse might cause some linux distros to complain... Looking for tips and if you got nothing better to do referrals =)

to my knowledge linux works fine in mac mini (except wlan, maybe)
but so does OS X...
if you really need a linux desktop, kde and gnome are available through fink/opendarwin for os x (plus gentoo for os x has many packages, too). i wouldnīt want to install linux on a mac (unless itīs a protest towards appleīs policy)
I haven't tried it, but I don't think USB keyboard/mouse would be a problem. Mine are both USB only and I've been running Linux (several distros) for almost a year and haven't had a problem.
