looking for beta testers

I am affiliated with a software company that is looking for linux users to beta test this product. They are asking for people to use the software for 30 days, or so, and then give a review of the product. When the program is finished, they are going to be charging for it, and in return for beta testing they will give testers a free version of the alpha version when it comes out. If you would be interested in helping to test this product and having your opinion help out with this product, check out the website at:

At the top of the page just right of center is a link to go to the download page for beta testing.

If this post is inappropriate, I do apologize. I did look over the rule's and it did not say anything about asking for help for beta testing. I am not selling anything. As a matter of fact the company is giving away the software for free for testers.

If you beta test, you get a free version of the alpha version? What a deal! :p

grizzly, what software is this exactly. Reading on the website, I get the impression that it some kind of an interface with the computer. Not command line driver nor an graphical interface but something new altogether. What's it like? I didn't really get it reading the site.

It is a new way to interface with the desktop. It runs on top of the X server, and it allows you to access directories, start menu's, etc. using the keyboard. It is full programmable also. So you can have key 'k' be linked to www.linuxquestions.org, so all you have to do is have the programming running and press 'k', it will open up you web browser of choice and take you to www.linuxquestions.org. It allows you to keep your hands on the keyboard when using a gui, so you do not have to remove them to use a mouse. Under the demo area they do have some pictures of it. The program is kind of like using macro's, but instead of programming several keys to do something, you can program one key to do it. Then all you have to do is remember crtl-j, which will bring to program up, and press one key. I hope this makes it more clear. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

This is still a form of advertising though and then eventually leads to selling of a product. This thread being closed at this time. If you feel this is not the case, feel free to email a mod, me or the admin of this site.
