anyone wanting to get a peek at MS new OS can just click on this site:

Nice eyecandy. Though I still hate that menu, and the side panel is way to big, I hope its all configurable, because I know so dweeb manager is going to make me use it. ( Or Linux takes over first! )
|
Slightly better appearance than XP , but those icons still look like rejects from an asian candy-factory......
(Nothing bad about asian candy-factories , but they shouldn't be designing icons IMO...;) ) And btw.- Shouldn't this be in "General"? Last time I checked , Windows didn't qualify as a Linux-Distribution.... |
Well it's an improvement over XP. Give my linux any day...
|
Well this cant be actual screen shots because on the first it says "Device currently working", so it has to be a made up photo
|
hmmmmm, IMHO they finally made the windows GUI work like windows does, one crappy thing at a time!
i just installed gentoo, and if i had to even stare at windows again i might go blind ....... give me a linux GUI any day so i can actually do a few things at once like i like to do on a computer........ anyone using that OS (judging by the screen shots) will have to be even dumber then my cat (trust me, hes not that smart) to not get frustrated |
It looks better than XP(which was way to teletuby-like).. a little less childish.
but still, that menu on the side is taking WAY to much space, and actually it seems to me there is a little to much eye candy.. I think it is getting in the way when you have to do some work.. it all looks to big to me.. Don't think I'm gonna use it if it has nothing more to offer than this GUI.. like i never used any windows version after 2000, because since that version windows is really 'oversimplified'. like it was made whit pretty dumb people in mind (no offense to windows users...:D ) know what? think i just stay whit my slackware system.. It looks way better:D |
I remember getting the sidebar with a windows xp theme (from themesxp.org or somewhere). Is it that they are 'again' just taking stuff from others and putting it as theirs.

Ha, microsoft, they really have zero imagination... Poor thing. That's microsoft for ya, never real profound work, like adding useful features, *brand new* improvements, just adding more bugs and stuff, continuing on the same road over and over again.... Someday it'll be payback time for their laziness. |
Interesting screen shots... now on to fix the registry

That big bar down the side really annoys me, I'd want to use that space for something useful.
|
they changed the start menu from green to blue, and added an analogue clock.......
i am jacks inflamed sence of bemusement. |
Looks nice!
I think it looks quite nice. At least, this time, the blue colors are in a perfect harmony with each other, unlike XP (Who for goddess sake thought that "blue task" bar with a "green Start button" fits?). The sidebar is without a doubt, removable. We've seem similar bars (like Win98 Web-links) before and it's just one click to close it, so I don't see why it won't be like that this time too...
If it offers the same speed and stability of Win2k and XP, it's going to be great!. Well, it's still far from complete, and the above shots(if real) might change significantly, so it's just to wait and see. |
It looks ok but whats with all the blue?
