You need to see how your internet sites look on the most used web browser.

Although I think Opera, Konqueror and even Safari are far better browsers than Firefox, I use only Firefox. I just depend far too much on its addons for everything: From checking my e-mails to debugging websites. I would not use Firefox without any addons though

You have to understand that most people still use Internet Explorer. Linux users are 10 times smaller in number than Windows users, and saying that you don't have to use IE at all is just like the people that leave a "This site is only available for Firefox, download it now. IE sucks". If I found those people I would kill them. If they are to dumb to make a web site work for ie, that doesn't necessarily make IE bad. Testing on IE is good, because I want my friends to join my sites too. Friends who have Maxthon installed, not necessarily explorer.

If I remember correctly, if you go here with IE, they will advise you to install Firefox. Again, they are not really saying it is a Firefox only browser, just that you should not use IE . But don't be pissed at them. Wesnoth is one of my favorite open source games

Now, what I find funny, is the fact that the google search box on Wine's Appdb is messed up for me, with Ubuntu and Firefox, but looks fine in Windows with IE
