Linux mint, How the heck do you get registered for their forum?
I have tried two times to register with the Linux-mint forum, using two completely different user names, and email addresses and no conformation email was received on either address. Does anyone know if this bunch has folded their tent, or what?
It's a damn nice distro, but there are question that need to be asked, and a forum of users would be nice. I tried the address given on their site for their "root", but it bounced.
Anyone have any ideas on whats up over in Ireland? (the listed origin)
Any help would be appreciated.

No idea on the forum, I'm afraid. It sounds shafted...that being a complicated technical term. :-)
Why not try the question here - I'm pretty familiar with Mint as I suspect are lots of other people here.

I wonder if they share systems or admins with the Freespire forums? Since the Freespire forums seem to have the same problem.

I have the same problem. Tried three times to register for Mint forum, each time was told the registration succeeded, but no confirmation email with activation link ever arrived. And it's not in the spam folder either.
I am a newbie about to make the move to Linux. I wanted to try Mint first but I certainly won't if I can't use their forum.
Has anyone figured out what the problem is? And why aren't there a ton of hits on this problem when you google it?
And how can Mint remain so popular on the distrowatch list if people aren't able to register for their forum? Unless it's only me and the OP who have the registration problem.

Why you are having problems is beyond me. Signing up for the Linux Mint forum couldn't be simpler. What are you using for an OS, Windows? Cool off and try again, and get it right this time. Mint is way too good to give up for this reason!
