I re-burned and tried again. It failed again, same message. I took a pic of something intersting at the beginning, though. Im working off a CD-RW. Maybe a CD-R?
I checked the MD5 sum on both my copies of the ISO (I downloaded 2). They matched the MD5 value provided at the download site, and matched each other as well. I'm going to re-burn on a new disk and try again.
CD-RW is a very likely candidate for your problem. Many/most CD read only drives don't like the far weaker signal returned fom a CD-RW disk, they ony work well when read on a CD writer. CD-R is a better bet for you.
Works! The CD booted perfectly! I just used another CD-RW. Only now, It won't recognize either of my mice (I have a Logitech 2.4GHz wireless and a standard trackball IS/O) or my wireless card, a Belkin Pre-N. However, I could browse through the menus with my keyboard. Is anyone else familiar with Auditor enough to help?
I really want to get Auditor to recognize my wireless card so I can use kismet and not have to set up a drone.
