Linux Documentation done with Windows!
This is kind of funny... I've got the four disc Slackware 9 set. On one of the discs is a copy of "The Book" (that is, "Slackware Linux Essentials").
Well, the hyperlinks in the book on the disc don't work... they look something like this: <a href="file:///H:/stuff/slackware-book/slakbook/x68.html">
My first impressing was, "wow, what kind of directory naming convention is that?" and then I noticed the H: :tisk:
Not only that, but the metadata in the document shows it was developed with Microsoft Word
Now I'm sure there's a good reason somebody was working on the HTML version of the Slackware Linux Essentials book using Microsoft Windows, but it's still kind of funny.
Oh, and by the way, Slackware rox, even if some of their help (hopefully it wasn't Patrick) uses Word. ;)
I am disappointed
Please tell me you are joking. :(
Not only did they use Windows, but they used Word to do HTML.
Make sure the Microsoft zombies (MCSE) don't find out about this, because we will never hear the end of it.
