Baloney!

Hmmmm... I wonder what will that give you? $5 off the insider's fee?
Also, note that the Armed Linux official homepage ( http://www.armed.net/) automatically redirects to http://www.lindows.com/armed/.
Kinda suspicious, don't you think? Lindows people are not idiots(their victory over M$ in court is evidence enough of that), they either saw something of value in Armed Linux (and bought it off from the original developers), or they simply hired the entire Armed Linux development crew. That's just my hunch.
Also, note that Armed Linux has disappeared off LinuxISO as well... I may be wrong, but I think they used to be listed there and had an alpha or a beta version out.
Here's another quote (the key word highlighted in red):
Quote:
From http://www.lindows.com/armed/
LindowsOS, due out later in 2002, will have the unique ability to run Linux® software titles as well as many popular Microsoft® Windows® software titles, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, giving computer owners and organizations of all sizes new options on the desktop.

Just popular titles, eh? Like M$ Office? I already have that running (more or less) with WINE on my box. And how much will you be selling this "groundbreaking" OS for? $99? $200? Thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick with daily developmental snapshots of WINE.
Conclusion: I smell baloney. Sounds like an M$ styled attempt to rip some money off unsuspecting end-users (Windoze ME comes to mind).
Recommendations: Don't get your hopes up, be prepared for lameness.
