Lenovo Thinkpads with no OS -- Where??
I've been looking for this elusive, phantom Thinkpad that is preloaded with Suse (or ships with no OS - I'm a bit confused on that. Though I'd prefer no OS at all, I'd rather have suse than Vista,). I can't find it anywhere. I see plenty of articles and even pages on IBM and Lenovo's websites advertizing and talking about it. But I simply can't find it *anywhere*.
Anyone know where it is? |
Surprise!
This is looking unbelievable to me but you read carefully instruction manual and if you got notepad without os this is really good because recently i purchased HP pavilion in which i got vista installed now i am
not able to install XP which i need badly. |
Ugh, now I'm depressed. Wanted to order the Thinkpad R61, called Lenovo and they said they are "required" to install a Microsoft operating system on every notebook they sell. So discouraging. But I have my principles. Should I compromise and pay MS just to get a Thinkpad?
My current computer works fine, but I was going to give it to my mom. Perhaps I should just get her a Macbook. |
