Just installed Windows XP
I just installed Windows XP yesterday to do my taxes (using Turbo Tax), and what a pain. Yes, it was easy, but I had absolutely no control of the computer. I just stared at the screen until it was all finished. I didn't even get to tell it what drive to install it on. I "HAD" to install it on my IDE, when I wanted it on my SCSI. On top of that, it sucks. Once my taxes are finished, I am changing that computer into a second Linux server.
I know I might have been able to do Turbo Tax on Linux, but didn't want to mess up my server while learning Wine. Will do that later on my second server. I have been using Linux for about 3 years, 2 without Windows, as my main machine. Windows is used at work, only because I have no control of that computer. Enjoy. JN |
It's a nice feeling, like when I do things on my moms XP, that my room has no doz :)

I ditched windows 4-5 years ago and have never gone back. I even do my C# homework on it (c# is microsoft proprietary programmign language that ripped off java and added vb stuff) dotgnu and mono work for it.

There's something called GnuCash. Never tried it myself, so I can't really say much about it.
