Just got a linux/unix job offer!


I just got a job offer with a company large company that is about to be making the switch from winders2k to linux.. flavor yet to be decided!! Im excited (and it pays more than double what im making now)

My title will be, Systems Administrator (UNIX/inux)!!!

Offer or actually hired? Two different things really. But good luck if haven't totally confirmed the position and congrats if you have.

Its a company that makes Jets for the US Government, and foreign governments

I dont want to say who it is.. cause i dont know if they make stuff like ditching win2k for linux public or not :shrugs: but a good hint is above

Umm.. let me guess.. Boeing?
Probably one of the biggest Government contractors for airplanes, etc. They always have jobs in Denver too... I once almost applied but the position was filled a long time ago.

Way to go! Good thing it isn't me... I would probably severly mess up everything, haha.

But wait... in another sense it makes me sad... Think of the system administrator of the windows computers they have right now... (s)he is going to be jobless... poor person... ;-(

keep an eye out over there buddy, From what I hear IT will start increasing staff at the main plant later this year.
