Hello all,
I've created a nice Debian web portal site with useful information for newbies and experiences like.
It will have links to useful sites that have helped me and others. It will also have HOWTOs, tutorials, guides and etc that I have found to be very useful and USER-FRIENDLY. That is the key here - user-friendly.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys have anything you want to share that I could add?
HOWTOs sites that have helped you in the past, great tutorials on commands, vi editor, exim, installation guide and etc?
I recommend a creative commons license (or something similar). If you pick something like that, then I would be wiling to help out with a tutorial or something (if you want). But, if you pick a copy right that is too restrictive, then I won't help.
First of all, he's asking for suggestions.. adding the URL since he only has 0 posts will result in no URL until he's reached the 5 post limit. I also would recommend him not to post such URL and stick with asking for suggestions, doing so in adding a URL will come off as blatant advertising.

Well he could put the URL into his profile.
As for advertising what it is the link to reference that LQ rule?
ExCIA,
I am not putting you down. I am just answering your question with a question.

Yes he could put the url in his profile, that's what its there for, to link others to your own personal or own website, but creating threads to make others aware is a form of advertising and or using these forums to your own advantage, which is part of this rule:
There is no selling allowed in the forums. If you are interested in advertising you can email ads@linuxquestions.org.
Linking others to your own site, commercial or private is a form of selling it to others and another form of advertising, even if you aren't selling anything.

Yea, Creative Commons seems the way to go for what you're trying to accomplish. If you choose a copyright like that, I'd be willing to lend a hand as well. G'luck.
