Java and Java Script

Hello all:
I hope this is not considered as a cross/double post as I have
asked some questions about eBay before on the other forums
but I would appreciate it if someone who is familiar with Java
and Java Script would take a look a the below Error: from eBay
and tell me if it is a eBay, Ffox or Linux problem.

A little history might be in order.

I am running MDK 10 with Opera 7.54 and Ffox 1.0
and of course Konqueror.

I can log on to eBay and go to the Home page with Konqueror
without any trouble, but when I try to access the Home page with
either Ffox or Opera neither browser will load the Home page, the
browser just sits there, no error no nothing.

Ffox has a JavaScript Console and when I run the console on the
eBay site I get this:

Error: [Exception... "'Permission denied to get property XULElement.selectedIndex' when calling method: [nsIAutoCompletePopup::selectedIndex]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "JS frame :: https://secureinclude.ebaystatic.com.../signinbody.js :: initFocus :: line 10" data: no]
Source File: https://secureinclude.ebaystatic.com.../signinbody.js
Line: 10.

I can disable Java and Java Script in Ffox and it seems to work fine.

Any help would be appreciated, I have no idea where to start to try
to solve the problem.

Thank you very much.

Moved: Seems more suitable in General, since its not directly related to Linux.

But for your problem, sounds to be as if its just bad javascript on the site your visiting, trying to have the browser render it just bombs out. What versions are you running? Try upgrading if you have an older version.. etc.

Whoops wrong General section, thanks for moving.

What versions are you refering to? The Java and Java script or the
browsers.

Thanks again.
