ISO images are not bootable images !!!!!


hi I downloaded the image of CDlinux from this forum after it got downloaded as .iso image then I burnt it using a Fantom CD software ... after that I wanted to install and hence booted through the CD-ROM it did not boot from the CD ... I think it was not a bootable image ... total download was waste and CD also ...!!!!

when I burnt the DVD of SUSE from the SUSE official website it was working ...!!!


I think there might be some small mistake could you plz tell me how to download and burn so that it would be helpful....!!!

Did you burn it as a file or as an image? i.e. if you open the contents of the CD in nautilus / explorer / dolphin does it contain loads of stuff or just the .iso file?

not sure about their download...

Do you check the md5sum of iso's before burning?

also, CDLinux is slack 11 based I think
meaning it is not "current"

You like CDLinux, need a USB Linux or what?
