ISA server (how to protect)?

should i install anti-virus software in server running ISA (internet security and acceleration server)?
reason for the question is that i worry if there will be a service conflict or something like that.
in other words: can ISA server protect the internal LAN as firewall and also protect the machine its running on against virus/spyware/etc?
i'm running ISA 2004 (enterpr edition) over w2k3 server (which interfaces the internet, and serves as the gateway)

I thought ISA was just a firewall, not an anti-virus solution. If that's the case, it's not going to protect against viruses. But how would you get viruses on a machine that you don't touch anyway? (I mean, if it's a guardian server, you probably shouldn't be surfing the internet or reading email on it. It's just supposed to sit there and protect you.)
