Is there a DVD that can read usb flash drives/external HDD?

I want to get my father a new DVD for xmas that can read usb flash drives, that way I don't have to burn anime and tv shows he missed to dvd's. I can pop a flash drive in and he can watch it. I did a few searches and only came up with portable ones.

I think you're going to have to explain this a little bit more. You can't plug a usb drive into a dvd. Do you have a dvd player that has usb and you want a dvd that basically turns it into a pc and reads the usb drive?

XD lol I can't believe I didn't put player beside DVD I need to start proof reading before I hit the submit button. Mainly I want to find a DVD player that can read avi, mpeg, ect ect files off of a usb pen drive. I think I found one at a good price.
