Internet question.

I have been trying to learn Gambas1 with the online "A Beginner's Guide to Gambas" tutorial by John W.Rittinghouse, one of the rare documentations found on the subject.

I am also trying to use Gambas2 from my Debian 6 distro and will switch to Debian 7 which has Gambas3 (which I will then use) in a month or so when I should get the printed book for Gambas3.

I am having trouble keeping this Gambas1 tutorial on my laptop. I have to boot in the morning because my satellite internet connection is always lost if I leave my machine on overnight and then loading this tutorial into the browser from a browser saved file takes ages, still reading from the web and downloading after 45 minutes (I thought the saved file was all I needed), even data from facebook!

Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? If not I think I will try wget.

wget actually is the solution for that, have a look at the -r, -l and -k options.

Well, "online" suggests live content from possibly a Content Delivery Network (CDN).

So, I suppose that remote content has to be reloaded every time you open the saved .htm[l] file. Just a guess.
How about a pdf?
