I hate the new Yahoo email and Gmail
When you click reply, it does not show a full screen mode with address, subject etc. available,
it appears in concise form. Very awkward. And, the inbox etc., which contains many emails, does not allow you to jump to the page you want, it is now in Scrolling mode, which waste your time to find email. ---------- Post added 12-02-13 at 04:16 PM ---------- the new design is idiot! |
Enable imap or pop3 on your gmail account and use whatever client you want.
|
And what exactly does this specifically have to do with Linux?

The old design is better.

Tell Yahoo and Gmail, not us.

Yahoo's troubles go deeper than ever increasing ugliness. I have not even been able to access my e-mail for a few days. I get a page "advising" me to upgrade my browser, (They have never liked IceWeasel.) which instantly freezes. Clicking on anything, including "Home", does nothing. I have started an account elsewhere that will even let me retrieve message from Yahoo and transfer them, so I can read them. They are well on their way to becoming a shit service.
As for complaining to them: 1) Their forum has a few thousand people complaining about the new interface. Complaints that are ignored. 2) Cannot access your e-mail? No problem. Send us an e-mail and we'll look at the problem. |
MSN live mail is much better now.
But my main correspondence is yahoo mail. :( |
I especially find Google's mobile Gmail format particularly grueling, especially when trying to add contacts. I have to go to a totally different website, yet there's a link to my contacts on the mobile Gmail site. Now where's the logic in that, Google?

My new GMX account not only lets me import message in the Yahoo account, but it also has a much nicer interface. A worthwhile alternative to check out if unhappy with Yahoo.
|
GMX is good, but i never try yet.

The more I use it, the more I like it. Although I have no idea how they compare to Yahoo in terms of privacy. From what I understand, Yahoo is not the best, but anything is better than information trawling Google.
