How to search "file:///" in internet search engines?

Google ignores some punctuation and special characters, including ! ? , . ; [ ] @ / # < >
There is no way to include punctuation in a search term. Google simply consider them as blank spaces. You have to find some other term to perform your query, as pljvaldez suggested above.
Protocol file:/// represents the files stored on your machine. Fortunately Google is unable to penetrate your hard disks. To find files stored on your hard disk and to search through the content of the text files use commands such as find or grep.
