how to make partition


hi...

im a newbie here...
i just started attending linux class, and im so curious about it and i want to install it to my pc but i dont know how to mke partitions...


i got windows xp. with ntfs file system and my instructors said that only with fat 32 suse can be installed, he told me to reinstall my windows and change the file sytem, but i dont want to do it coz i shared comp. to my sis and she doesnt agree with it,
and my classmate told me that he made 2 partition in his windows, one using ntfs and the other having fat32.. is it really possible?? but how?

thanks.. and hope to hear more from you guys....

I think suse also can resize a ntfs drive, but mandrake has got excellent tools for ntfs resizing. If you attend a class I would recomend you to buy an additional disk to install linux on so you are certain that you have enough space and dont f#ck up the windows partition while resizing.
