how to install windows xp in grub????


Hi,
i now this is linux site
but please help me.
I have new ASUS notebook with preinstalled Linux.
Ive tried to format disk and somehow ended up in grub.
Ive tride some explinations from forum but nothing helps.
When i try to instal windows xpblue screen appears and it freezes.
notebook have only one hard disk in IDE-AHCI mode in bios.
Please help

1. please check if ur DVD/CD is working. try another bootable disk of win xp /win 7.

2. ask ur ASUS notebook provider.

3. Generally it does not happen. Toload both linux and windows together, you have to load windows first and then linux. delete all partitions and make fresh.

I want to have only windows xp on my nootebook.
Can you explain me how to delete partitions from grub?
And can i remove this grub and just normally boot windows xp?

Do you get any error messages before the blue screen? Do you have a windows xp full installation CD? This problem usually occurs because the xp bootloader is unable to recognize non-windows code in the master boot record. If you have your xp CD, boot it and enter "R" (for recovery?) in setup, select xp from list, enter password, enter FIXMBR, if that doesn't work enter "FIXBOOT".

If you don't have an installation CD, you could try looking for a disk at bootdisk.com.
