How to create equation in Abiword ?

in Winword, you just click insert-object-equation3.0, then you can create all kinds of mathematical equations.

why this feature is absent from abiword????

I think the political answer is that abiword is a strictly a word processor - I think it's Tex you use for doing equations. For me personally (with my total ambivalence to OS flamewars) I use windows for equations and output to HTML to get a picture file for the equation.

ha ha, it shows that windows is more superior.
a fact !

acid_kewpie 04-05-2002 12:06 PM

no, it just means that the word processor you chose to use doesn't do what you want it to do. there are other choices.

futurist,
Abiword vs. Word has nothing to do with Windows vs. Linux at all - they are both word processors. Stop the windows Rulez type posts or please do not post!

Writer is a powerful and easy-to-use desktop publishing and Web content creation tool. Writer intuitively manages paragraph and page styles, has advanced capabilities for creating multi-file books, and lets you make calculations in tables like a spreadsheet. Setting up a form letter for mass mailing to contacts in a database is a simple drag-and-drop procedure, and you can print the letters, send them to a file for later printing, or send them directly through e-mail. There's even a handy clipart gallery from which you can preview and drag art (your own custom art included) directly into a document without going into a separate window.

futurist,
You asked a question. I gave you a direct answer. Is seems you are mad that Writer CAN do what Word does and you post a completely garbage post about how linux sucks. This is your last warning.
