Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Aha! Thanks Jeremy. I only came across this a couple of minutes ago and was disappointed when I saw it was closed - so long as things don't get out of hand, I can't see the harm in this! I think it'd be quite interesting to see the diversity of LQ users in one thread. Cheers.
Damn Acid, you've got slapped around again . But don't be upset. So, my location is on the left of this post, all my info regarding age is on my profile - yes it is still accurate I'll turn 26 on 22nd, damn I am getting older and older, and I am a male.
hey sorry acid if you didn't like the thread, but i just thought that it would be good for us as a COMMUNITY to get to know eachother more, and i know some may have this info in their profiles but i also asked if they have anything else to add, and i'm sure everyone will be sensible about this and it won't get out of hand......

yes, very much thanks too jeremy, i don't know about everyone else, but knowing the background of our fellow members sort of gives you background on where Linux has spread and the age groups it has attracted, and even male and female......
