How many firefox extensions do you have?

I think Firefox is a weak browser if the user doesn't enhance it with extensions.
I usually have 5-10 enabled extensions thta I use and am fond of (AdBlock, All-in-One Sidebar, FasterFox, Flashgot, StumbleUpon, Tabbrowser Prefs, SessionSaver etc.).
And I know all these really slow down the browser loading (only when I first start it). So here's an interesting question, IMO:
How many enabled extensions do you have in Firefox (if you use Firefox, of course)? Please post your loading time, also.

P.S. www.spreadfirefox.com :D

I don't have any extensions installed. The default Firefox works fine for me as it is :)

Same here. Although, I'm only using Firefox on Windows, as I use plain old Mozilla on Linux (it came with Slack and I have decided not to change until I upgrade stuff).

i usually have four or so: Adblock, Mouse Gestures, Flashblock and Google Preview. Loading time is only a couple of seconds.

i try to keep them minimal because some of them really seem to slow down the browser. i use ctrl+n for new windows all the time, and having to wait up to 4-5 seconds for a new window is awful (1.5ghz laptop, on my desktop i still use mozilla). starting the browser took like almost 10 seconds! once i pared down the extensions basically to only flashblock and adblock, ff went back to fast starting and new window launched almost instantly again. i think i have "nuke anything" on there, too, which seems okay.

Out of curiosity, why do you start a new window if the coolest feature of Firefox (and other tabbed browser) is to actually open new pages in new tabs instead of new windows (ctrl + t). It not only is faster (because you don't actually need to open a new window) but also makes your desktop way less messy with everything in one place.

Probably because he's filled up all his tabs, as I always do :D

Ah, I see :).

Thanks for clarifying it for me ;). I usually have at least four tabs open: google, java API and gamefaqs and LQ.org. When I get bored with Java programming I use the other tabs to have fun, ghehe :)

Thanks for the replies, guys!
slackhack, I really think there's something wrong with your config / system. I don't know whether some extensions are much more "heavy" on time than others, but mine only takes ~2s with 10 extensions or so!

hmm, it might depend on what extensions, though. maybe i had some poorly coded ones in there. the speed seems normal now that i have reduced them to 3 or 4 known good ones. i'll keep adding them in gradually one by one, and report back if i can find which one/s might have been causing the slowdown.

I have a couple of extensions. About 2sec load time.
Extensions:
TalkBack
TargetAlert (my favorite)
StumbleUpon
Google Toolbar
Google Send to Phone
IE View

I use only the Translate extension.
