High-efficiency hydrogen fuel production

We may be on the verge of switching to hydrogen-fueled vehicles! An Israeli company has suggested a much more efficient way of generating the necessary hydrogen: http://www.isracast.com/tech_news/231005_tech.htm
I'm not sure if their idea will lend itself well to on-board fuel production; however, if the underlying reaction is robust enough, it may solve the twin problems of production and transportation.

You all think I've been suckered, I take it? Well, chemestry wasn't my strongest suit, so I won't claim it's impossible.

Edit:
Just saw the article on /.; I'm gonna have a few words with the guy who forwarded that to me.

Ah well, hope springs eternal.

Actually, I am holding out for low sulpher diesel fuel autos in the US that they are promising to roll out in 2006.

Also check out this link on Biodiesel:
