Smile Hey there mik7@myway.com!

Hey there Mic,

What? We have a democracy here now? Wow!
Well, the situation is not really confusing, if you're a toon. Let me scetch that somewhat. Remember the movie "who framed Roger Rabit?" and the cartoons with Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny and the gang? Well, let's call that the framework of our country.
There are (were originally) two communities, one speaks Flemmish, the other one French. That in itself is pretty much okay, were it not that (historically) the south (french speaking) HAD the industrial advantage, somewhere in the late 19th and early 20th century. This "machine" was kept afloat by migrant labour...from the (then lesser developed) north.
But, things have turned and Flanders overtook the (now slowed down) sounth. Now, they somehow think of themselves as area-in-need, so, as the song goes: "it's all about the money"...
But, in short, the south is in delial, I guess. They're up for a reality check, soon.
But, yes, this means we can end up in a Looneytoon-and-Tintin situation where a clear winner in the electrions...ends up in the opposition.
How democratic is that!
But..on the up side, it got you you enjoy the waffles.
Oh, maybe a tip: if these waffles have those grains of sugar (and no chocolate) in there, I suggest a turn in the microwave oven, just a 20-odd seconds (depends on your oven, expext to ruin the first waffels ) - that way they taste as if they're just baked fresh, as you'd buy them in central Brussels at the Rue Neuve!
Greetz from the Belgian Puzzle, going to pieces in a funny way

Thor
BTW - thank for the post!

(PS - had to reply this way - could'nt contact you the other way)
