Help check speed of a website!
I am wanting a small speed test of this site.
You need a high speed connection.
If you have time to test number of hops it would be great.
download file 5M
http://my.awesomenet.net/~phillips/images/universe.bmp
to count hops
traceroute my.awesomenet.net
Thanks

Took me almost exactly 1 minute (58 seconds) on a 768k down line. I usually max out at ~98KB/sec with it, but maxed out at ~85KB/sec with this.
Code:

From my home machine on a cable modem:
Looks like whatever is limiting the download speed is not on your
end (for any reasonable user, anyway).

It does seem to be pretty good for an isp's free web space.
Good enough to put screenshots on anyway.
