We have been given a computer and are having problem recognizing the hard drives - When we go to install windows by booting from the CD, it says that it can't find the hard drives.
We have an Adaptec AIC-7896 SCSI BIOS v2.57s2b3.
Do we need drivers?
We have 3 hard drives that are removable.
Not sure if you need any more information, but if anyone could help that would be great.
Thank you

This is a controller built into the motherboard I do believe. Looks like you need drivers. I would of expected the driver to be included with the windows installer. Make sure SCSI is enabled in the BIOS.
What version of windows?
What is the make/model of the motherboard?
