First off you need a hacker handle... adam_h isn't going to cut it...
you can get one here...
http://www.rootcompromise.org/hng/index.php
Then contact the FBI and get a permit... all hackers have a permit...

If this is the case, he needs to specify this in his post. For now this post has been reported and will be closed.

adam_h,

If this is a legitimate question regarding "hack" as in hacking code, programming, then you need to tell us. If you mean to maliciously attack another computer system, etc, this thread will be closed.

PS. I would suggest no one reply to this thread until we get a confirmation from adam_h. Regards.

Hacking unauthorized systems is a Federal crime also, and can get you 5 yrs, BUT if you are running a Linux box and want to test your skills at Security and finding/manipulating exploits then hackerslab.org is what you want to try. These are called Wargames....there are a few different Wargames out there,( Web page which is HTML based, php exploiting, windows, "NIX") do a google and look thru some to see what may interested you.

Wargames are not illegal because you have permission to try to compromise the system, Just don't go trying to access what you are not supposed to!!
