Yeah, I've been pretty disappointed with the writing thus far. Maybe it'll pick up in later seasons (it took TNG a while to really get going too). The Temporal Cold War stuff is the best story arc they have going so far (at least they've been smart enough to come back to it once in a while). I _do_ like that they concentrate on the characters, and wish they'd do more of it, since it's really the characters that drive the story, but the general plot in each episode has usually been pretty lame.

I don't think Scott Bakula has done too badly. He makes a good captain -- I just wish the writers would give him more to work with.

Did any of you guys watch Firefly? Damn that was a good show. I miss it terribly.

thanks for jogging my memory-the woman on enterprise in the first movie was llia, who was abducted,i beleve, by vger and then later merged with her old boyfriend to create a new lifeform which i don't think would become borg.
Q is way cool and so is the concept of his existence-and i didn't think anyone could approach spock until i met tuvok-the episode where he is brain damaged and becomes neelix's best bud and whips up desserts to die for was great-i wish trek could tie in with larry niven's work somehow as i like his ideas.

Q was also first encountered by Kirk, he was a large spinning gyrating multicolored object with about 30 different faces (geometric faces) and wouldnt allow them to go somewhere i kinda forget what the episode was about

p.s. I do know my star trek, maybe not as well as some but i know it pretty damned well (i dont follow enterprise and dont consider it to even truly be a star trek too many inconsistencies from the beginning)
