Will domain names including .fail, .city, .wtf and .tax be sent to an early grave?

these new TLD's are a bad idea anyway, it makes them sound so vague. a domain won't sound like one any more, with just about no characteristic traits left... how do you tell your mum to go to my.coke or whatever? so vague and confusing.
