Google Ad-Words advertises MS's "Get the fact campaign" on LQ?

For shame, Jeremy. For shame.

Google provides the ads for LinuxQuestions. But you are right, Google does use Linux.

Who cares, click on it and a little helps LQ out when you do. Its M$ who's paying, let them waste their money to advertise on a lost cause and false information.

/me is still fascinated by all the members who think ads on a website is a bad thing, even if it is Microsoft ads, they're paying and it helps support open source and even sites like this.

Post on "Space advertising" regarding ads

"Ads are awesome. Now before you flame comments at me like: "OMG! wot da helL r u talking bout squal?" let me explain myself. Ads keep things free. Let's take this site for instance. I don't have to pay anything (I would if I wasn't fifteen). Why? Because Google pays Jeremy money for displaying ads on this site. This stuff isn't free. Another example is the radio. The radio is completely free, once you've bought an actual unit to hear the radio waves. Why? Because of the LONG stupid, and annoying ads. I don't know about you guys, but I would much rather listen to ads then pay a monthly subscription fee. So, with my insight, if you don't have any money to spare. Click some random ads on your favorite sites, because you will be paying the owner and helping to keep the sight free. Now excuse, I'm gonna go click on all the Google ads on the top of the page."
