Gmail account for moderator , LQ addict , Guru

I have 2 gmail invites to any moderator , LQ addict , Guru , Senior Member as they helped alot of people so i wanted to help them some how

Well, I think most of us Mods and Jeremy have gmail accounts already. I think at one point we were all hit with invites to give away ourselves and I think finegan has like 5.. he was being a bit of a gmail hog since he wanted to experiment with gmailFS.. :p

Maybe you could just bribe members if they want one, they have to earn it by posting something in the HCL or put up a Review.. ;)

ok then :)

any body post a review or in the hcl will get a gmail invite
i still have 2 invites

I have 6 gmail invites. I will give four away to the first four people to either edit or create a wiki entry.

Even though I already have one, I feel a bit appreciated :D. By the way, how do you become a Senior Member? I don't see it as a selection for my rank...

Thanks trickykid :D, although 5000 posts is quite a bit to become a Guru if you didn't make it in time...

HCL

I would be interested in a Gmail invite But I also have a couple questions as well. I've been messing with linux a while now (fedora, suse, slack), I haven't really posted much cause I still consider myself a noob. But I love linux, especially fedora. Funny thing is that that is the first time I have really looked at the HCL.
Wow very nice and informative.
I posted about my printer after doing a search for it and it didn't show it listed.
So now my question. Could someone check the above link and make sure I filled that out right? I have a couple more I can add but want to make sure I', doing it right first.

Thanks!
Crane

Actually I would think 5k posts is easier to get to in less amount of time nowadays.. we have more members, more threads/posts/questions created and so on..

I remember the days when I would login at the end of the day, 24 hours would have passed by and there would be 30 to 50 new posts. Now I go 24 hours without logging in and its reaching almost 2k posts in one day... ;)

ok whats ur email crane so that i can send u the invite ?
because i must send the invite from gmail

J.W. 09-03-2004 07:57 PM

To Email other members, note that you can click on the "profile" button of a member, then click on the "Send Email" link. That approach does not require that a person publicly announce his/her Email in a post -- J.W.
