French people I really need your help

I need help from anyone who has good command over French. Knowing way around Linux is a bonus

I need someone to enable French language under Linux and tell me how to type/convert a paragraph from english to French.

I would write the para in english, the French man can either mail me his French conversion or give me the key layouts so that I can write french on my own.

I need this done ASAP, so if someone can help me, I'll be eternally greatful.

Fun part is to take the now french paragraph and translate it back - do it enough times and you are left with gibberish

Yeah, it does it literally (I think) so if it's just to give a general idea it's fine - the french to english is not bad - if it's for something very important that has to be spot on, maybe less good.

If you want me to take a look at what you have translated with babelfish I can correct it, you can email me via my profile.

These free translators are only really good for getting the gist of something, don't ever expect that they will ever translate a long paragraph correctly, heck if that was the case i would have written all my spanish essays with babelfish

The problem you get with translating back and forwards will happen with all translators, free or not, theres not a lot you can do about it. They're still pretty good if you don't need an exact translation and just need to get the basics.
