Free on demand rental: Which movie to watch?

So my provider is offering me a free video-on-demand rental, and I have narrowed it down to two titles, since so far I have not really seen anything else worth renting... and I have 90 days to take them up on the offer.

So what should it be?

--Edit

If I timed the poll correctly it closes on the 22nd, since I plan to take the offer on this coming Sunday.

We saw The Hobbit in the theatre. It exceeded my expectations, which, admittedly, weren't very high because I was leery of one little book's being stretched into three big movies.

Of course, I'm a buff. I've read Lord of the Rings five times, but my girlfriend, who has read The Hobbit, but not Lord of the Rings, and that a long time ago, also really enjoyed the movie.

Also, by this time, I've been Star Trekked into intolerable boredom.

Having seen both. I liked the "Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan" version in the Star Trek Movie.

The Hobbit was OK. I just hated that ya gotta wait for part 2.

Star Trek ;)

Definitely Star Trek, not because it is good, but because anything is better than the Hobbit movie. Like stated above the decision to stretch a very small book into 3 movies was ludicrous, and you won't find me watching it. I think they could have make one decent movie from the book, but only just.

Star Trek: The Lens Flare Edition.

Neither. What else was on the list?

Jeebizz 09-18-2013 04:24 PM

I can't remember now, but those were the only two good ones since "At World's End" or "Insidious 2" is not yet available :p

Jeebizz 09-18-2013 04:44 PM

Also, I did see the first Star Trek, it wasn't bad at all. I am curious about The Hobbit, since I did see the LOTR trilogy and I guess my only reason not to watch it is because it is just the theatrical release, and not an extended version. Same with the trilogy, it was much better when I saw the extended version, because there was a lot of plot elements missing from the theatrical release. Still I will let the polls dictate and there is still time :)

At World's End rocks! Star Trek was good. And I didn't know The Hobbit still had more to come maybe that's why it seemed so boring? But I never believe any reviews until I see for myself...

Jeebizz 09-22-2013 08:47 PM

So it looks like it will be Star Trek then. The polls have spoken :)

brianL 09-23-2013 05:29 AM

**** the polls, watch The Hobbit!
