Free MP3 downloads
I can't believe we have a General Forum on this site for anything goes. Anyway, I'm looking for an MP3 service that will make me pay for the MP3's I download, and then give the artists a portion of that money. I want to download music both Legally AND Ethically. Does this exist?

Just search in google for a mp3 download site. Im sure youll find alot of'em that you pay a subscription fee to or a fee per song thats added to your account, and that allows you access to download music. Im sure a portion of that does go towards the artists.
This is link to a site similiar to what I discribed. Despite what is says you do pay for the songs. http://www.portable-cd-mp3-player.co...downloads.html |
I'm sure there's a business opurtunity here...
:] no.. seriously.. I like this idea with Panther being linux-ish/compatible; would itunes work? titanium_geek |
There are plenty of services. But the money goes to the RIAA. And how much do you think they give to the artists? I'm willing to bet not a lot.
If you want to support these bands, buy tickets to they're shows. |
you can always look for indie bands.
I quite like IUMA (not sure the exact link but google for a sec and it should pop up) and a place (if I remember correctly) called www.garage-bands.com (not sure if that's the link) Keep in mind that in my experience 80% of the stuff I downloaded was crap...but I found quite a few jems. That average is a lot better than the RIAA stuff which is currently scoring 99% crap on my meter :D |
Good Site.
There's a great site called Emusic. It's fast, User-Friendly, and loaded with songs (all in MP3 format) I personally love this site. Pay a small subscription fee and then WHAMM-O Free MP3 Downloads! It's great!

Dammit, I didn't notice the date. Does this mean that we have to check dates on every thread now?
