Fork you Adobe!

Just stumbled upon this -

http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2...-on-linux.html

Quote:

For Flash Player releases after 11.2, the Flash Player browser plugin for Linux will only be available via the “Pepper” API as part of the Google Chrome browser distribution and will no longer be available as a direct download from Adobe.
What's the deal for other browsers on Linux now?

Regards.

There are other alternatives besides the native adobe flash player; See here:

Yes, I know that. Used gnash on SL 6.1 for sometime actually, however it kept crashing while playing Youtube videos and while using my webcam, was stuttering down and I read a lot of similar complains about it on web.
I don't know if situations are improved now for gnash. Never heard of lightspark.

Regards.

Honestly, I'm sticking with the native player for a bit within firefox. Seems like I'm going to be ditching flash soon.....

Reasonable approach, hope the Linux flash thingie will change for better pretty soon.
