(for XMAS) table game ideas and instructions/rules

I'm getting my cousin a "games kit" for Christmas. Of course, I've left it a bit late... heheheh. Last minute rushes are the most fun.
(oh yeah, the family party is on the 23rd, not the 25th...)

Anyway, so I've bought:

A box (to keep it all in)
A "500" deck of cards (regular deck with 11's, 12's and 13's added)
dominoes (not sure how many- I'll get back to you)
5 dice (identical)
Yahtzee score pad (no rules?)

So, my appeal:

Game ideas, please! Extra points for rules- I'd like to put in some instructions in with the present.

Now, he's only 13 so please keep the games "family friendly" he's got strict parents, so poker (etc) are out. He's at boarding school so he'll probably learn eventually.

thanks everyone!
