TN3270 usually comes with a 3270 emulator package (to access an IBM mainframe) such as IBM Communication Server; so if you know which 3270 emulator you have at work you know where the font comes from.

Heres my problem, AT my work we received an email from our IT guy to install PUTTY. So I proceded to do so and I went to the APPEARANCE SECTION OF PUTTY were I can set the type of fonts and I saw the TN3270 or IBM-3270 font type listed there...and here at home I have Putty too but no 3270 fonts.

Why?

And in additioan to that, the PUTTY came with another BAT file called PuTTY.bat, and PuTTY.exe

Then, I emailed these files to myself and I downloaded them onto my machine but the fonts disappeared like the TN3270 font and the rest.

SO there just default fonts now on my PC. But at my work's PC, the TN3270 font is there in the list...

Hope this clears up everything.

Now, heres my question, how can I add this font to my Putty in my PC?

As I said: your 3270 emulator at work came with these fonts, and every program you have at work can use them. As you don't have that 3270 emulator installed at home, you don't have the fonts, so you can't use them.

Technically speaking you can copy those fonts from your computer at work to your computer at home, which would make them available to every application you use at home. Legally speaking, you must check the license of the 3270 package.

The font files are usually somewhere below c:\windows in a directory called fonts IIRC, and the name would be something like tn3270.ttf. But that's all guessing, I don't have Windows here nor these specific fonts.
