I may give that a try to see. I'll report back if I can. I just got a email and it sounds like she may be leaving like real real soon. She was waiting on her tickets when she emailed me. It may not be able to finish what it already stared. It seems to have got a REAL big one this time.
I'll try to finish it but no promises here. If I have to go get her, folding is dead, finished or not. I'll yank the plug out of the wall and let it all crash. Yea, I'm excited.
I wouldn't panic about it. Stuff happens. If the work server doesn't get your packet it will re-issue it to another machine. I've lost packets here due to downtime and such. You can only do your best the the system is set up to survive these sorts of things.
I'm working on it. I have two decent rigs running and one old Compaq Proliant 6000 server with quad CPUs. They are only 200MHz but they only run folding. I put a very basic install of Gentoo on it so it would be as fast as I could get it. Linky:
The Compaq has not finished a unit yet. I ran into a little problem and it restarted and lost what it had done. It may be a few weeks before it sends in anything and shows up on the statistics thing. My faster rigs do show up though. I may have a forth one before to long. It is a 1GHz rig with 256MBs of ram. It will run Gentoo as well of course.
