firefox issue; google redirected to kpn hotspots after visiting the site at hotspot
Hi,
I'm having a weird issue with firefox. I don't know if this is linux related hence my post here. Yesterday at the library, I decided to logon to the wireless hotspot provided there by the Dutch telecommunications company, KPN. I didn't subscribe to their service (wayyy to expensive), but I did visit the intro site. But now, when ever I visit "google.nl" (which I have set as my startup page), I automatically get redirected to the same KPN hotspot site. This happens right here at home where, incidentally, I have a KPN broadband subscription. The international site "google.com" still works though. What the hell??? How did this happen? P.S.: for some reason, after visiting google.nl with Gran Paradiso (firefox alpha), the usual behavior of firefox is resumed and I can visit google.nl again with my standard browser. But I would still like to know what the hell is going on! I'm using Fedora 7 by the way. And needless to say this is happening on my (Dell E1505) laptop. |
Can't you try deleting all cookies related to google?

Hey I'll try that the next time this happens. Thanks!

I am just guessing here, but we never know :)
