firefox issue; google redirected to kpn hotspots after visiting the site at hotspot

Hi,

I'm having a weird issue with firefox. I don't know if this is linux related hence my post here.

Yesterday at the library, I decided to logon to the wireless hotspot provided there by the Dutch telecommunications company, KPN. I didn't subscribe to their service (wayyy to expensive), but I did visit the intro site.

But now, when ever I visit "google.nl" (which I have set as my startup page), I automatically get redirected to the same KPN hotspot site. This happens right here at home where, incidentally, I have a KPN broadband subscription. The international site "google.com" still works though.
What the hell??? How did this happen?

P.S.: for some reason, after visiting google.nl with Gran Paradiso (firefox alpha), the usual behavior of firefox is resumed and I can visit google.nl again with my standard browser. But I would still like to know what the hell is going on!
I'm using Fedora 7 by the way. And needless to say this is happening on my (Dell E1505) laptop.

Can't you try deleting all cookies related to google?

Hey I'll try that the next time this happens. Thanks!
